Diane is Chief Executive/Scientist, Science Plus Consulting Group and formerly Chief Scientist, Australian Water Association. She specialises in training and development having had a long history of involvement in professional and vocational education
that has grown from direct face to face and distance teaching to curriculum development, program content planning, to management and facilitation of senior executive level Workshops and Master Classes. Over her career, Diane has worked in postgraduate education for pharmacists, in environmental education for TAFE, in administering training for natural therapists and extensively in professional development for the water industry.
In terms of her technical qualifications, Diane Wiesner is qualified as an environmental scientist specialising in water quality, the impacts and risks chemical residuals on human health. An example of her ability to combine this scientific background to the improvement of skills of other workers has been in her development of post qualification level programs designed to provide water and regulatory agency staff with the capacity to understand and incorporate the latest changes to water quality management regulations into existing work practices of water utilities and authorities specifically as required under the Australian Drinking Water, Water Quality and Recycled Water Guidelines.
Diane,s academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy, University of NSW,1984, Master of Science (Environmental Health), Wollongong University, 1997, Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition, Deakin University, Victoria, 1988, Master of Arts, Adelaide University, 1982 (Anthropology AND South East Asian History) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hon I Pharmacology) Sydney University and Bachelor of Arts (Hon II ) Sydney University 1978.
