Davin has over 25 years’ experience in the Geotechnical Engineering field and is the National Geotechnical Practice Lead for the Stantec Environment & Geosciences Team as well as the lead of Stantec’s Victorian geotechnical team. His experience includes pavement design and rehabilitation assessment, geotechnical modelling, retaining wall design, site investigation, slope stability assessment, residential development, commercial development, dams, wetlands, pipelines. He has worked extensively in the Melbourne metropolitan area, across Victoria and throughout Australia.
Davin is an expert in pavement design and rehabilitation having designed many innovative pavement solutions for projects ranging from large scale multidisciplinary major projects to significant subdivisions to local government projects. Davin also has significant experience in the design of heavy duty pavements including port pavements, industrial pavements and haul roads.
As part of his work Davin is an expert in landslip and slope stability assessment and has been involved in many projects involving slope stability including retaining walls, engineered slopes, coastal assessments, water storages, existing landslides, detailed slope modelling, landslide susceptibility and landslide risk assessments.
