Our events are largely structured around the learning's offered in CPEE Post Graduate studies along with content closely linked to the relevant Austroads Guides and/or Australian Standards. To ensure delivery of practical and relevant material and experience, only recognised experts are engaged as presenters.

Advanced Pavement Design

1 Day Workshop
This intensive one day workshop incorporates advanced use of the principles of the Mechanistic Pavement Design – CIRCLY 6.0 program. It is ideal for engineers and engineering technologists working for federal, state, or local authorities, consultants and contractors who already have a sound awareness and understanding of the basic principles & practices of pavement design.

AustPADS Mechanistic Pavement Design

1 Day Workshop

This one day course is offered as a single day for those who are well versed and practised in pavement design or who have completed any of the past CPEE two-day Flexible Pavement Design courses. The primary users for AustPADS are Australia and New Zealand road managers, industry organisations and consultancies working with road agencies. Access may not be granted to other users.

Concrete Pavement Design & Construction

2 Day Course
Intended to inform on the principles & practices involved in concrete pavement design, the course program will closely follow the content in the appropriate Chapters of the Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology – Part 2: Pavement Structural Design and Part 4C: Materials for the Concrete Pavements, which are used as the principal references.

Flexible Pavement Design

Principles & Practices
Intended to inform on the basic principles & practices involved in pavement design, the course program will closely follow the content in the appropriate Chapters of the Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology - Part 2: Pavement Structural Design, which is used as the principal reference and a copy is provided for each delegate at the course.

Fundamentals of Road Construction - Materials & Practices

2 Day Course
This Course provides information on the necessary planning and management of Road Construction, together with an overview of the resources and the necessary elements required in planning and managing investigation works prior to commencement of major site works in road construction.

Haul Road Design Workshop

1 Day Workshop
The course will provide delegates with an understanding of the overall concepts and principles of Mine Haul Road Design. Mine consultants, contractors, truck fleet operators and personnel involved with design, construction and day-to-day operations and maintenance of mine roads will benefit from the course

Maintenance & Rehabilitation - Understanding & Evaluating Options

2 Day Course
This Course is primarily concerned with providing delegates with the knowledge, and practical understanding, to enable full evaluation of maintenance & rehabilitation options, and their most beneficial use. The importance, and types of maintenance, pavement distress modes and evaluation techniques are reviewed and preventative and periodic maintenance options will be fully explored and detailed.

Mechanistic Pavement Design - CIRCLY

This one day course focusing on flexible pavements is ideal for engineers and engineering technologists working for federal, state, or local authorities, consultants and contractors who have an awareness and understanding of the basic principles & practices of pavement design.

Stabilisation Fundamentals

1 Day Course
This one day short course is ideal for those seeking a working understanding on insitu stabilisation and is suitable for engineers and engineering technologists, project managers and senior supervisors and operations personnel working for federal, state, or local authorities, consultants and contractors.

Road & Public Space Lighting Workshop

This two-day instructional design focused workshop covers the latest practices applying to road and public space lighting design and practice. Used to support learning in the workshop is the Austroads' Guide to Road Design Part 6B - Roadside Environment, a general guide to road lighting standards and practice applicable to traffic routes and to a lesser extent, to local collector and minor roads.

Rural Road Surfacings - Sprayed Seals

1 Day Course

This practical workshop focuses on sealed roads in rural environments and is ideal for project/asset managers of roads, senior supervisors, engineers and engineering technologists, working for federal, state, or local agencies, consultants and contractors.

Pavement Defects and Maintenance Options Workshop

1.5 Day Course
Level: Intermediate – Advanced. This 1.5 day short course, focusing on recognising and understanding the various defects that arise over time with bituminous surfacing. Exploring and assessing the maintenance options is the primary focus however rehabilitation is briefly covered to provide a complete picture, thus the course is ideal for senior supervisors and works managers, engineers and engineering technologists and project managers, working for local government, or state/federal agencies, consultants and contractors.

Rural Road Surfacings - Unsealed

1 Day Course

The primary purpose of this workshop is to assist in the efficient management of unsealed rural roads. As well as addressing the fundamentals, advice is provided on design issues, improving material properties, construction and operational aspects. Strategic management issues are also addressed.

Pavement Maintenance Essentials

1 Day Course
