    Senior Asset Engineer, Ventia

    Claire’s journey with CPEE began when she was awarded a scholarship to pursue the CPEE Graduate Certificate of Asset Management program, providing her with a unique opportunity to enhance her expertise in asset management.

    Reflecting on her experience, Claire shared: "Receiving the scholarship was a key motivator. I saw it as a valuable opportunity to enhance my engineering skills and contribute more effectively to my role."

    She continued, "One of the most valuable aspects of the course was the opportunity to connect with professionals in my field from across Australia. Engaging with industry experts as course convenors gave me insights into best practices and real-world applications of asset management in Australia."

    Claire’s commitment to continuous professional development and her passion for asset management have been key to her career growth. Today, as a Senior Asset Engineer with Ventia, Claire credits the course for enhancing her technical knowledge, analytical skills, and strategic approach to asset management, helping her transition from Asset Engineer to Senior Asset Engineer.       Graduate satisfaction over last few years with teaching quality in excess of 90%.

      In a recent survey, Industry employers valued that the program went beyond the ‘vocational’ by providing more and broader knowledge than was needed to simply conduct routine pavement designs. They noted that graduates had a better understanding of how design of pavements and materials fitted into the broader infrastructure procurement and life-cycle.

      Graduates valued that the program ‘brought it all together’ by providing a framework in which all the knowledge they needed was arranged, allowing them to link concepts and tools easily. Long-past graduates voiced the view that the program had allowed them to do more in the way of pavements and materials, and to operate more effectively over the intervening years.
