Vital need for increased capability and knowledge in infrastructure asset management

The University of Tasmania, Centre for Pavement Engineering Education (CPEE)and IPWEA recognised some years back that there was a need for increased capability and knowledge in infrastructure asset management skills.

Based on the internationally acclaimed International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM), a formal qualification was being developed, and continues to be offered with enrolments now being accepted for Semester 2 starting 18 July, for the Bachelor Engineering Technology (Professional Honours) in Infrastructure Asset Management) at the University of Tasmania. This formal University post-graduate qualifications is via Distance Learning allowing study from any location in Australia, or from overseas.

This course aims at providing graduates with the knowledge and skills to fill senior positions in the specialist field within local and state government, public works authorities and with engineering consultants.
