CPEE Student Excellence Awards

Last year, CPEE successfully launched its Annual Student Excellence Awards program and thirteen students were rewarded with a cash prize of $500 each and a formal certificate of achievement, presented at a prestigious event near their home or convenient major centre.

The Awards will again be offered for outstanding performance in Units of study from Semesters 1 and 2.

The CPEE Annual Student Excellence Award gives recognition to students who have demonstrated excellence in their performance during the period of consideration, whilst undertaking either of the postgraduate programs, the Graduate Certificate of Pavement Technology, the Master of Pavement Technology or the Bachelor of Engineering (Professional Honours) in "Road Engineering and Construction".

Selection and nominations for the Student Excellence Awards will be made by a panel consisting of the specific Unit Chair (CPEE Academic), CPEE CEO/Senior Staff and a nominated representative of the sponsor, using the criteria listed.

If the unit is staged in both Semesters, then the combined student enrolment in that unit are eligible.

• Students in their eligible unit, provided they have achieved "distinction" grade level automatically become eligible.
• Students who have demonstrated excellence in their development in an eligible unit, are at least "credit" grade level and have shown compelling commitment and outcome, supported in writing by the relevant Unit Chair, can also be eligible.

Selection and nomination will be undertaken in the week following finalisation of second semester marks and the panel established by the CPEE Academic Board shall review and determine the award winners. Advice to successful students will follow shortly thereafter.
